Mig - 17

Purchased in 1994 from the former Soviet Union, these Mig-17s were brought to the US and meticulously restored to flying condition over a number of years by Airshows America's dedicated personnel. These single-seat, supersonic jets were used primarily in the Vietnam War, but have been turned into an air show crowd pleaser by the talented pilots of Airshows America. With their power, agility and impressive afterburner capabilities, these MiG-17s have dazzled spectators across the nation. For over four years, Stolichnaya and Smirnoff Brand Vodka were the primary sponsors and used the aircraft for an incredibly effective advertising campaign. They have flown at NFL and MLB games, nationally recognized parades and major air shows.
